Die Tower Subway ist ein 1869/70 erbauter Tunnel unter der Themse im Stadtzentrum von London, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Tower of London. Er verläuft vom Tower Hill auf der Nordseite zur Vine Lane auf der Südseite. In diesem Tunnel verkehrte die erste U-Bahn der Welt, die in einer tief liegenden Röhre erbaut wurde. Die erste in offener Bauweise erbaute U-Bahn war die Metropolitan Railway im Jahr 1863.
Die Tower Subway wurde von 1869 bis 1870 unter der Leitung von James Henry Greathead erbaut, der zusammen mit Peter William Barlow die ersten Tübbings aus geschweißtem Stahl entwickelt hatte. Der Eingangsschacht am Tower Hill ist 60 Fuß tief, derjenige in der Vine Lane 50 Fuß . Der Mindestabstand zwischen der Röhre und dem Flussbett beträgt 22 Fuß .
