Thorikos war ein griechischer Ort an der Ostküste Attikas, er wird seit den 1970er Jahren von belgischen Archäologen ausgegraben und wurde teilweise restauriert. Thorikos gehörte zu dem antiken Bergbaugebiet Laurion. Die Ausgrabungen liegen zwei Kilometer nördlich von Lavrio, in der Nähe eines großen Elektrizitätswerkes. Die eigenartigerweise nicht von einer Umfassungsmauer, sondern nur durch ein Fort geschützte antike Siedlung zog sich an den Hängen des Berges Velatouri empor.
