Epirus ; altgriechisch Ἤπειρος Ḗpeiros, deutsch ‚Festland, Kontinent‘; albanisch Epir[-i]) ist eine historisch-geographische Region im Südwesten der Balkanhalbinsel. Sie erstreckt sich entlang der Küste des Ionischen Meeres vom Ambrakischen Golf im Süden bis zum Ceraunischen Gebirge bei Himara und Oricum im Norden. Das Gebiet gehört heute teils zu Griechenland, teils zu Albanien. Im Allgemeinen wird heute nur mehr der Südteil als Epirus bezeichnet. Er bildet dort die gleichnamige griechische Region.
In Epirus liegt Dodona, das in der Antike nach Delphi die bedeutendste Orakelstätte Griechenlands war.
