Piazza Napoleon ist ein großer Platz im historischen Zentrum von Lucca. Die Piazza Napoleon, auch bekannt als Piazzaa Grande, wurde Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts erbaut. An der Stelle des Platzes befand sich früher eine mittelalterliche Festung. Der Platz wurde von Napoleons Schwester in Auftrag gegeben. Ursprünglich war auf dem Platz eine große Napoleon-Statue geplant, die jedoch nie verwirklicht wurde. Es gibt jedoch eine Statue von Maria Luisa van Bourban. Gleichzeitig mit dem Platz wurde der Palazzo Ducale auf dem Platz errichtet.
Heute ist die Piazza Napoleon ein autofreier Platz, auf dem regelmäßig Märkte und Veranstaltungen stattfinden. Das Lucca Summer Festival findet jedes Jahr auf der Piazza Napoleon statt.
