Das Gefängnis Schrassig ist die einzige geschlossene Strafanstalt Luxemburgs. Es befindet sich nahe den Ortschaften Schrassig, Sandweiler und Oetringen auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Schüttringen.Das Gefängnis wurde 1984 nach sechsjähriger Bauzeit eröffnet. Es löste damit das Gefängnis im Luxemburger Stadtteil Grund ab. Es war bereits nach drei Jahren überbelegt. In den 1990er Jahren wurde die Anstalt umfassend erweitert, blieb aber überbelegt: Im März 2007 war das Gefängnis für eine Kapazität von 600 Häftlingen ausgelegt und mit 680 Gefangenen, davon 37 Frauen, belegt.
