Die Geschichte der Stadt Berdorf beginnt mit einer römischen Villa Rustica aus dem 2. oder 3. Jahrhundert nach Christus. Nach Phasen von Wohlstand und Ruhe im 18. Jahrhundert entwickelte sich das Dorf weiter und ist heute ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel inmitten der Luxemburger Schweiz.
