Die Haltestelle befindet sich an der Stelle der ehemaligen Ommoordse Busspur, wird von der U-Bahnlinie A bedient und wurde am 28. Mai 1983 eröffnet, als die erste Schnellbahnstrecke der Rotterdamer U-Bahn in Betrieb genommen wurde. Die Haltestelle liegt mitten in einem Wohngebiet und besteht aus zwei Bahnsteigen von etwa 90 Metern. Neben dem Bahnhof befindet sich ein Gemeindezentrum, in dem eine Bibliothek und die Bewohnerorganisation untergebracht sind.
