Die Haupterwerbsquellen der Gemeinde sind der Tourismus und die Landwirtschaft. Hilvarenbeek, wo viele Leute leben die ihre Arbeit in Tilburg haben, hat heutzutage eher den Charakter eines Vorortes von Tilburg als des ehemaligen Bauerndorfes.
