Frederiksoord ist ein Dorf in der niederländischen Provinz Drenthe. Es gehört zur Gemeinde Westerveld und liegt etwa 24 km nordwestlich von Hoogeveen. Frederiksoord wurde 1818 gegründet. Es war das Hauptquartier der humanitären Gesellschaft des 19. Jahrhunderts, einer Organisation, die sich der Beseitigung von Armut widmete, indem sie für die arbeitsfähigen Armen in neugebauten landwirtschaftlichen Kolonien Arbeit bereitstellte. Der Name Frederiksoord stammt von dem Patron der Organisation: Prinz Friedrich von Oranien-Nassau. Zusammen mit anderen von der Gesellschaft finanzierten Kolonien wurde Frederiksoord 2021 in die UNESCO-Welterbeliste aufgenommen, um seinen Beleg für eine einzigartige Methode der Wohnungsreform zu würdigen.
