Die Straße von Baglung nach Jharkot ist von Dangerousroads.org gekennzeichnet.
Vor allem rund um Tatopani, wo die Schlucht sehr eng ist, mussten für den Straßenbau Steine gesprengt werden . Die Straße wurde Anfang der 2000er Jahre gebaut und 2010 verbessert (sprich: verbreitert).
Es wurde von der Armee gebaut.
Bis es eine Straße gab, musste alles zu Fuß und auf Eseln von Baglung nach Muktinath transportiert werden. Zu dieser Zeit war das Trekking durch dieses Tal sehr angenehm und entspannend. Der Kali Gandaki Trek war früher einer der berühmtesten Treks der Welt.
