Pendik [pendɪk] ist ein Stadtbezirk auf der asiatischen Seite Istanbuls und gleichzeitig Landkreis und Gemeinde der Provinz Istanbul. Pendik liegt zwischen den Stadtteilen Kartal und Tuzla und besitzt im Süden einen 7,5 km langen Küstenstreifen am Marmarameer.
Pendik hat sich in den letzten 60 Jahren von einem kleinen Fischerdorf und einer ländlichen Region zu einem der am schnellsten wachsenden Außenbezirke Istanbuls entwickelt. Lebten in den 1950er Jahren noch weniger als 10.000 Menschen im Landkreis, so kam es zunächst durch Zuwanderung und später durch die Eröffnung einer Werft in den 1980er Jahren zu einer regelrechten Bevölkerungsexplosion. Pendik hat 663.569 Einwohner . Die türkische Marine betreibt hier einen Stützpunkt.
