These fens are a paradise for many insects and amphibians. To make them even more attractive, certain design works have been carried out, such as the revaluation of fen banks and wet heathland and/or heischral grassland. During the summer period, this is supplemented by grazing with sheep to keep that vegetation open.
In addition to insects such as winter damselfly and heather blue, you will also encounter various birds such as tree falcon, yellow bunting, nightjar, hawk, sparrowhawk, wasp thief and tawny owl. Spotted orchid, swamp wolf's claw, sundew, together with heather cartel leaf form the rarest plants. In the different fens, brown and green frog occurs alongside various salamanders and common toad.
