This reserve in the heart of Hesbaye is an old chalk quarry, excavated for cement production and operated from 1899 to 1956. Since then, nature has reclaimed the area. Today, this environment constitutes a region of great biodiversity, with dry areas, flower meadows, wetlands, and wooded spaces coexisting. The 3-hectare reserve is home to very rare species such as the bloody cranesbill, the honeysuckle, and three species of orchids.
