The Roomanmolen is a windmill remnant located in the village of Belsele, which is part of the East Flanders municipality of Sint-Niklaas, situated at Belseledorp 17. The mill was built in 1862. As early as 1870, a steam mill was established next to the windmill. The wind operation was also continued for some time, but in 1923 the blades and the cap were removed. The mechanical mill remained in use until 1960. Around 2000, the structure was provided with a new covering and a walkway was added again, but this was made of metal and narrower than the original. The main structure was converted into a residence. The wind-powered milling equipment has completely disappeared. On the ground floor, which served as the mechanical mill, several remnants of this installation are still present.
