This walk takes you through rural Everberg, once a real principality, made big by the princes of Merode. The walk passes within a stone's throw of their magnificent 18th-century castle, passing the Biesthof and a handful of chapels. Stroll through the beautiful Warandebos to the park and old abbey of Kortenberg. Finally, foot and field paths treat you to some fine views of Everberg.

Before you set out: this is a hike on a virtual hiking network. The nodes are not signposted on the property. Follow the 6-sided red and white signs with the name of the hike.
