The 10 kilometers of Mechelen (GVA Dwars door Mechelen). Exact distance 9,5km. (Officially 9,8km)
The previous appointment was on 29/09/2013: http://sport.be.msn.com/runningtour/dwarsdoormechelen/2013/nl/ Looking forward to the next one!

In the beginning a lot of people, but when walking down and on along the Dijle it is a special spectacle to observe the very long snake participants in front of and behind you.

In the slowest possible way (foot and bicycle path under the several bridges on the Dijle) you walk to the city center, with of course a wonderful passage through the Kruikdtuin (the city park of Mechelen).
Not once, but twice the market is addressed. No concession is made to exclude historical monuments.
