Description by the author

The starting point is the car park near the castle surrounded by Millen's moat.
You cycle to the Jekerdal and the route goes up and down the slopes along the Jekerdal, following the Jeker (called Geer in English) downstream. The language border is also crossed several times. Characteristic of the area north of the Jeker (Haspengouw) are the many good concrete roads through the fields (for the benefit of farmers). The wind has carte blanche here. The busiest roads in the Jekerdal are avoided by following free cycle lanes (including a paved cycle path on an old railway line) and following roads where only agricultural traffic is allowed.
Around the Jekerdal you get the following climbs:
- Thier Saint Laurent
- Chavée Arecht / Arechtberg (max. 15%).
Then you go down the west side of the Hallembaye on a narrow paved road, but be careful: there is a fence at the bottom of the descent. By the bike path along the west side of the Albert Canal and the east side, you reach the foot of Saint-Pierre mountain.

You leave the Meuse valley by climbing the Montagne St.Pierre. The descent takes you into the Jeker Valley, but you first pedal to Kanne to climb the Muizenberg and return to the Jeker Valley via a paved towpath along the beautiful and thorough Albert Canal.

Then you get the following climbs along the Jeker:
- Plattenberg (also known as Tiendeberg or Zusserdel), beautiful climb on a still winding road through orchards.
- Wonck Coast. At the end of May 2017, this road was partially closed with concrete blocks, as the rock face along the road became unstable . You can just walk past by bike. So pay attention to that. This may have eliminated the one-way traffic of the ascent slightly south of this climb (which would then be a great alternative). I do not know what the situation is here at the end of 2017.
- On Les Coteaux (average 4%, maximum 6% and 1.8 kilometers long).
