This 47 km long cycling route starting in Diksmuide explores the valley of the Krekebeek. Together with the Handzame valley, it forms an eastern extension of the IJzer basin. The trip starts in Diksmuide and goes through a piece of marshland towards Koekelare where the climb of the Ruidenberg awaits. In Kortemark you return to the Krekedal and on the way back you cycle past various charming, sleepy villages such as Werken, Houthulst, and Klerken.
