In the province of Antwerp you do more than just taste beer, beer becomes an experience. Via the Trappist route you cycle from the Trappist Abbey of Westmalle to the Trappist monastery of Brecht, starting from Café Trappisten at 487 Antwerpsesteenweg in Westmalle. Then there is the Neo-Romanesque Abbey of Brecht, which is located in the middle of the Brecht Heath and the Domein de Renesse Oostmalle where you can enjoy 60 acres of greenery. If you want to see a special work of art, don't miss the Lime Pavilion of Zoersel and to finish, you can taste a double or trippel. This living beer that is still truly brewed within the abbey walls and consists of Malle's groundwater, malt, yeast, hops and candy sugar is absolutely worth your while.
