The gliding site in the Hamburg district of Neugraben-Fischbek is part of the nature reserve Fischbeker Heide.
There are three runways available, two of which are grass runways and one is gravel. Winch launching is conducted on the 900 m long southern runway. Between the parallel runways, which are unusually narrow at 4–5 m wide, there are heath areas that are not allowed to be entered for conservation reasons.
