The District Court of Bad Gandersheim is one of nine district courts in the district of Braunschweig. It is based in Bad Gandersheim and is the smallest district court in Lower Saxony.
Since 1 January 2013, the Bad Gandersheim District Court has only been responsible for the city of Bad Gandersheim and thus has around 10,000 court members. With the incorporation of the municipality of Kreiensen, which previously also belonged to the jurisdiction of the Bad Gandersheim Local Court, into the town of Einbeck, the Einbeck Local Court has taken over jurisdiction over the area of the former municipality of Kreiensen. As a result, this area also changed from the Braunschweig district court to the Göttingen district court.
