The Heidhofsee is a lake in the Bottrop district of Kirchhellen and with 4.8 hectares the second largest in the city. It was formed by the mining of quartz sands. Since 1973, the Heidhofsee has formed a local recreation area together with the Heidesee. The lake offers meadows on its southern shore for tourist use. Parts of the lake are protected biotopes. Heidhofsee and Heidesee are used for fishing.
