Behind the Kreismuseum in Genthin along the Mühlengraben, you come to Mützel. At the entrance of the village, the signposted local history and nature trail starts and leads around the Zernau Lake, which is a natural habitat and remnant of the last ice age.
Next is the Bockwindmühle and the last preserved peat barge lock, before heading back to Mützel. Here, a listed half-timbered church awaits visitors before returning to Genthin. Guided tours can be arranged at the Genthin Tourist Information Office.
