The palace of San Nicolás, or of the Rivero family, or of the Marquis of Gastañaga, is a stately construction in Gothic style, located in the Asturian town of Llanes, the capital of the same-named council. The Gastañaga or San Nicolás palace, an old noble house of the Rivero family, constitutes one of the few examples of civil architecture from the 14th and 15th centuries in Asturias. It is situated on Mayor Street, next to the disappeared San Nicolás gate, which closed the entrance from the walled area to the fishermen's neighborhood.
