Circuit of the Causse Rouge

A circuit that will allow you to discover the Causse Rouge, a limestone foreland supported by the foothills of the Lévézou. Cross the Lumensonesque valley and then climb through the Coursac nature reserve before reaching the Causse Rouge where you will find numerous dolmens, legacies of prehistory which are funerary monuments that have yielded a significant amount of human remains as well as pearl ornaments and flint points. The imposing stature of these dolmens also served to define a territory or assert the power of a tribe. Continue your mountain biking journey by passing through Bécours which houses the international center of the Scouts of France. This was built by their care. A little further on you will cross the dromedary park of La Blaquière where many local products are also for sale. Return to Verrières via a winding descent through the woods.
