The Janzona mill is a windmill on the Grootschoterweg in the Dutch town of Budel-Schoot. It is an octagonal wooden belt mill that is furnished as a grist mill. The Janzona was built in 1937, replacing a mill that burned down that year. The octagon was not new; previously it served in Venlo. The construction of the octagonal superstructure shows German characteristics and has great similarities with, among others, the mill in Donsbrüggen. Also special is the covering with the red Icopal, which was often used at that time. This covering had the advantage that, unlike the normal asphalt paper, the annual tar was superfluous. Also special is the octagonal stone substructure with concrete roof.
