The municipality of Weert was awarded by a European jury in 2013 as the Greenest City in Europe. A significant boost for Weert itself, but also a strong feather in the cap of ARK Nature Development and the partners with whom ARK collaborates: The Limburg Landscape Foundation, Brabants Landscape, Nature Monuments, State Forest Management,... ARK has been the driving force behind the highly ambitious nature development on the Dutch side of the Kempen-Broek in recent years.
