The Eygenhof
The Eygenhof was located on the current castle grounds, where the western wing of the farm is now situated. The head of the Eygenhof were the eygenoten (the lords) of the Hof Daelhem. The overarching authority was formed by the Sovereign Council of Brabant in Brussels. In 1410, the Eygenhof was owned by Reinson van Libeek. He received a charter from the noble monastery in Sinnich for the laathof in Mheer. In 1487, the Libeek goods in Mheer came to Jan van Imstenrade, son-in-law of Reinson van Libeek. This grant is mentioned by A. de Ryckel in the Daelhem feudal elevations. This laathof remained in the possession of the Van Imstenrade family.
