A beautiful walk through Bornia, Heidestein, and Den Treek-Henschoten to the Pyramid of Austerlitz, all located in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park. Each of these natural areas has its own unique character. Bornia was once mainly made up of drifting sands, with winding sandy paths that run through forests and heathlands. Den Treek-Henschoten is an old and dense forest. The route at Groot Heidestein leads over the open heathland, along a small river, and to the spring. The central point of this hike is the Pyramid of Austerlitz, a monument built in 1804 by Napoleonic soldiers. Near the Pyramid, there is a restaurant.
