This 26-kilometer bike tour pays attention to the former barn churches in Etten-Leur, Sprundel and Hoeven.
Unfortunately, no barn churches have been preserved in this region, only the reference to these churches can be found.

After the peace of Münster in 1648, the public practice of the Catholic religion was banned in this region.
Catholics had to take refuge in barn churches for their worship.
This situation lasted until 1795 when the Batavian Republic replaced the old regime and Catholics were given the same rights as Protestants.
