Tour of the Children's Farm North

Start Children's Farm North, Vanekerbeekweg Enschede

With your back to the farm, turn left onto Vanekerbeekweg. Turn right at Brandemaatweg. Then take the first path on the left, Scheperijpad. At the T-junction, keep left (Scheperijpad goes to the right). Cross Scheperijweg and continue on the path (bend to the left, bend to the right, and leave the sandy path to the right). You will reach Scheperijweg. Turn right here. Turn right again at Heetkampweg and left at Zuidkampweg. Then take the second turn left to a large building. The path bends to the right and left and then again to the right). Turn right at Vanekerbeekweg and left again at Zuidkampweg. Take the second left into Oostermatenstraat. Continue until the T-junction. Then left and right to Weerselosestraat. Cross this and continue straight ahead (= also Weerseloseweg). At the T-junction, turn right and left along the Eschbeek (still Weerseloseweg). At the Y-junction, keep right towards Espelolaan/Weerseloseweg. The path bends to the right and at Haverrietweg turn left. After that, keep left at the fork (Haverrietweg). At the Five-Paths Junction, turn diagonally left into Wiedicksbeekweg. Enter the path. This is shown earlier on the map than in reality and is hard to find, but it definitely exists... A very nice narrow and little-used path... follow along the Eschbeek. Eventually bends to the left and later to the right. (The creek continues straight there.) At the next fork, keep right and turn left at Witbreuksweg (along the water) = jump over the creek, as we walked here. It seemed there was no path that really led to Witbreuksweg. The crossing is quite steep..., continue to Weerselosestraat, cross and turn right and left between the water to Brandemaatweg. Continue on the path until Vanekerbeekweg and again right to the Children's Farm.
