Beautiful route from Camperstop Messines to the start of the barragem do Funcho. Easy-to-drive asphalt roads with little traffic meander through the hilly landscape to end up at a well-maintained picnic area with a beautiful view of the lake. On the way back you can visit one or both monasteries, or stop in town for a nice coffee with cake at one of the many "pastelarias".
