El Fernpass es un paso de montaña situado a 1216 m sobre el nivel del mar en los Alpes de Tirol. En el lado oeste de la cumbre del paso se encuentra el pequeño pueblo de Fernpaß, parte del municipio de Nassereith; al este hay casas dispersas del municipio de Biberwier. El Fernpass se encuentra entre los Alpes de Lechtal al oeste y la cordillera de Mieming al este; a 13,5 km al noreste se encuentra la Zugspitze en el macizo de Wetterstein. La cima del paso, que se ubica un poco al suroeste de Ehrwald, está entre el Grubigstein al norte-noroeste, el Wannig al sureste y el Loreakopf al oeste.
