Para recordar de manera permanente este feliz episodio de la historia de Vollezele, el sábado 12 de agosto de 2000 se desveló la estatua de Brillant tras una sesión académica con exposición. Ron Deblaere de Lichtervelde es el artista que ha inmortalizado a Brillant en bronce. Es un regalo a Vollezele de la firma Beaulieu de Wielsbeke. El domingo 13 de agosto de 2000, un desfile histórico con el famoso caballo belga de tiro como protagonista recorrió las calles. El miércoles 20 de septiembre de 2000, se colocó una placa conmemorativa durante una breve ceremonia en los cuatro criaderos más importantes.
