Una ubicación tranquila en un oasis de verde, pero con posibilidades inauditas como: una conexión inmediata a la Escalda superior, etc... más adelante hacia Francia a través de la esclusa de Merelbeke hacia la Escalda inferior y la Escalda marítima.
Pasaje para el centro de Gante, en caso de niveles de agua extremadamente altos, la única posibilidad de elevarse hacia el Ringvaart y alcanzar el canal de Gante-Terneuzen a través de Evergem o acceder al Canal de Gante - Ostende Brujas.
