Westkerke es una aldea en la provincia belga de Flandes Occidental y un distrito del municipio de Oudenburg. Fue un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal de 1977. Situado en un afloramiento de arena, Westkerke es un antiguo asentamiento que se separó pronto de la parroquia de la cercana Roksem. Westkerke sirvió como base para la recuperación de tierras más bajas y para la cría de ovejas en los marismas. El derecho de patronato de la parroquia estaba en manos de la abadía de San Bertín en Saint-Omer. También la abadía de San Pedro de Oudenburg y los templarios poseían bienes allí.
