El Molenbeek entra aquí en el Parque de Boom y se une allí con el Bosbeek. Al final del parque, se sumerge bajo la A12. A la altura de la estación de Boom, desemboca en el Rupel. Debido a que ambos ríos causaron inundaciones en el pasado, la provincia de Amberes planificó algunas intervenciones, como el área de inundación de Molenbeekse Plassen en Rumst.
