El esclusa de Rivage en Pot permitió el paso del canal Ourthe, completado en 1854, al Mosa. El nombre de la esclusa haría recordar el probable uso del sitio durante el período romano. La etimología de "Rivage en Pot" provendría de las palabras latinas "ripa", que significa orilla, y "emporium", que se puede traducir como almacén, puesto de comercio, mercado público.
La estructura consta de dos compuertas de hoja doble y está bordeada por muelles hechos de grandes bloques de caliza. Estos están limitados por barandillas hechas de postes de caliza que soportan pasamanos de hierro fundido pintados. La casa del guardián de la esclusa, construida a mediados del siglo XIX, ocupa los alrededores inmediatos.
Clasificada como monumento el 20 de mayo de 1983.
