En la plaza Georges-Jozef Imschoot se encuentra la sala municipal de cultura y ocio Guldepoort.
Céntricamente en la plaza también se alza una colorida construcción de hormigón diseñada por el artista Roger Raveel. Una construcción similar se encuentra al inicio de la intersección de la N43 con la Dorpsstraat y en el Museo Roger Raveel.
A un lado de la plaza se encuentra un poema del poeta-escritor neerlandés Gerard Reve. Gerard Kornelis van het Reve residió desde 1993 hasta su muerte en 2006 en Machelen-aan-de-Leie. Su poema "Credo" de 1968 fue incorporado en letras de cobre en una obra de arte. Este muro de cinco metros se encuentra al lado de la plaza Georges-Jozef Imschoot. Detrás de él se encuentra el jardín de Villa ter Ide y el taller del artista Martin Wallaert.
