Dos escultores crearon una impresionante obra de arte a partir de un tilo de 800 años, que adornó la plaza del pueblo de Zoersel hasta 1974. Pol Van Esbroeck esculpió unas 85 figuras de la vida local en el tronco. Mariëtte Coppens cuenta la historia de «De Loteling» (el recluta) en las ramas.
