Olnetop de Nick Ervinck tiene algo monstruoso. En la forma híbrida se pueden reconocer diferentes elementos, pero la instalación se refiere sobre todo a las olas que salpican. El artista belga se inspira en la dinámica natural del agua de mar que golpea constantemente contra los rompeolas. Con su obra, intenta capturar la violencia sublime que acecha detrás de una superficie serena. Basado en una imagen macroscópica, Olnetop es un encuentro entre la naturaleza y la tecnología. Ervinck lo llama una escultura virtual, diseñada completamente de manera digital y no tallada en piedra o cortada en madera, pero aun así es tangible gracias a su ejecución en poliéster.
