La metamorfosis de Oliver Laric muestra la mutación de un sapo común, o sapo europeo, en una mesa. Laric desentraña esta transformación a fondo. Cada fase de transformación es una escultura en sí misma, de igual peso e importancia. 'Morphing', la transformación física que atraviesa un personaje, es un tema recurrente en sus videos, instalaciones y esculturas. Al representar creaciones que están menos definidas por categorías, Laric da lugar a una nueva relación de interdependencia que anula explícitamente la superioridad del ser humano.
