Junto al Hotel Hilton, hay un aparcamiento donde se encontraba el famoso Burgerbraukeller. Hitler desarrolló aquí su talento para el espectáculo y el discurso. Aquí organizó numerosas cenas. El 8 de noviembre de 1939, se realizó el primer ataque contra Hitler cometido en el Burgerbraukeller. Fue el ebanista Johann Georg Elser quien cometió el ataque. Llegó ocho minutos tarde, porque Hitler salió demasiado pronto y se fue a Berlín para discutir el Plan Gelb. El plan Gelb trataba sobre la invasión de los Benelux y Francia que se llevaría a cabo el 12 de noviembre de 1939. Ese plan fue pospuesto debido al mal tiempo.
