Fritzlar es una pequeña ciudad alemana de 15.000 habitantes, situada en el estado de Hesse, 160 km al norte de Frankfurt.
Es una de las ciudades donde comenzó la evangelización de la Germania. San Bonifacio, enviado por el Papa Gregorio II, a evangelizar paganos, fundó en esta ciudad un monasterio allá por el año 725. [2]
