Wittlaer es un barrio de Düsseldorf en el distrito 5 y se extiende por la orilla este del Bajo Rin al norte de Kaiserswerth en Renania del Norte-Westfalia. El barrio incluye los antiguos lugares de Dorf Bockum, Einbrungen, Froschenteich y Dorf Wittlaer. El límite norte del barrio de Wittlaer forma al mismo tiempo la frontera de la ciudad de Düsseldorf con Duisburgo. Hasta aproximadamente mediados del siglo XX, también vivían dos familias de pescadores del Rin en Wittlaer, en su mayoría agricultores.
