El monasterio de Helmarshausen fue una abadía benedictina en Helmarshausen, junto al Diemel, en Hesse del Norte, y fue fundado a finales del siglo X. Al principio, la abadía era un monasterio imperial, más tarde estuvo bajo la jurisdicción de la Diócesis de Paderborn. Con la llegada de la Reforma, el monasterio fue disuelto. Fue de gran importancia en la Edad Media debido a sus trabajos en oro y plata y su scriptorium, que creó algunas de las obras más importantes de la pintura de libros románica.
