El arroyo Glaner se sumerge en el espacio natural del Bosque de Teutoburgo, del sur de Osnabrück y del noreste de Münsterland. Se forma en el bosque estatal de Palsterkamp a partir de los arroyos manantiales que confluyen: el Sunderbach y Urberg que provienen del Urberg, el Dörenberg que proviene del Dörenberg, el Limberg que proviene del Limberg, el Freedenbach y Freeden que provienen del Freeden, el Kolbach y el Glasbach. La última confluencia del Kolbach y el Freedenbach en Glane da origen al arroyo Glaner. Como arroyo Glaner, atraviesa el barrio de Glane en Bad Iburg, pasando por el castillo de Scheventorf y el Schleppenburg para luego recorrer aproximadamente seis kilómetros, casi en paralelo a la B 51, hasta llegar a Glandorf. Este pequeño curso de agua movió tres molinos: molino de la amistad, molino de Dall, molino de Mersch.
