La Amelungsburg es una montaña de 292 metros de altura en la región montañosa de Lipper, en el municipio de Dörentrup, en el distrito de Lippe.
La mención escrita más antigua de la montaña como Amelingesburg data de 1496.
En la cima de la montaña conocida como Amelungsburg probablemente se encontraba una atalaya adelantada al sistema de fortificaciones de Piepenkopf, que se sitúa en una posición de espuela al suroeste. La fortaleza de Piepenkopf, utilizada como refugio, ha sido datada en torno al año 250 a.C. a partir de hallazgos de incendios, por lo que pertenece a la época de La Tène. No quedan rastros visibles de un castillo o atalaya en la Amelungsburg. Friedrich Hohenschwert, el ex director del Museo del Estado de Lippe, considera posible que en el nombre "Amelungsburg" se haya conservado el nombre original de la fortificación de Piepenkopf.
