El monasterio de Heisterbach fue una abadía cisterciense en las Siete Montañas. La ruina del monasterio de Heisterbach se encuentra entre Oberdollendorf y Heisterbacherrott en el valle del Heisterbach, un afluente orográficamente izquierdo del arroyo Dollendorfer.
La Orden de los Cistercienses surgió en 1098 como un movimiento de reforma entre los benedictinos. Su época de mayor esplendor la vivió bajo Bernard de Clairvaux.
