La ribera del Rin se refiere a la ribera del Rin diseñada en la altura de los distritos de Düsseldorf Altstadt, Carlstadt y Hafen. Otras ciudades también tienen paseos por la ribera del Rin; aquí abarca las calles Tonhallenufer, Schlossufer, Rathausufer y Mannesmannufer.
El paseo se creó durante la ampliación de la ribera del Rin entre 1898 y 1902. En ese momento, se construyeron dos niveles. El nivel inferior servía para el tráfico fluvial y ofrecía espacio para las instalaciones necesarias. En el nivel superior ya existía un paseo en ese entonces.
